Petercuskie, who will coach the Virginia defensive tackles, replaces Rod Broadway. After one week on the UVa staff, Broadway took a a job at Florida.
Petercuskie, a 1975 graduate of Boston College, has been at Liberty since 1989. He previously coached at Penn State, Brown and Rutgers.

Brian Fitzgerald and two relievers combined on a two-hitter, and Virginia Tech pounded out 17 hits in a 14-0 rout of Holy Cross in a non-conference baseball game in Blacksburg. The Hokies' attack was led by former William Byrd High School standout Matt Reynolds, who went 3-for-3 with a single, double and home run.
Washington and Lee junior Rebekah Prince earned honorable mention All-American honors for the third straight year with a 15th place finish in the 200-yard individual medley at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving championships at Wesleyan University. Prince, who was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference swimmer of the year, has earned first-team All-America honors in three events over her career and honorable mention four times.
Washington and Lee sophomore Tommy Dudley shot a three-over par 75 to earn medalist honors at the Randolph-Macon/ODAC Golf Invitational at the Hanover Country Club in Ashland.
