NORTH CAROLINA ESCAPES MARYLAND IN OT

For the 22nd time in 42 years, the ACC tournament championship game will be a battle of Tobacco Road residents.

And for the second straight year, North Carolina needed overtime to reach the final. The Tar Heels reached their 23rd ACC title game, and fifth in a row, with a 97-92 victory over Marylnad in Saturday's semifinal nightcap.
