ADAMS, Myrtle Amos, 69, of Roanoke, died Friday, March 10, 1995. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Eulene Croft and William Robert Amos, and her sister, Lillian Amos Barton. She was the widow of Joseph Norman Adams, a Purple Heart recipient. She is survived by a lifetime friend, Walter Green, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Rita Amos, and nieces and nephew Teresa Amos Kennedy, Brenda Barton Salmons, Walter (Buddy) Barton, Sandra Barton, Cynthia Barton Hall and Sharon Barton Akers. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton with the Rev. Robert L. Painter officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.

AYERS, Harold L., 45, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, March 10, 1995. He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Ayers. Surviving are his mother, Doris H. Ayers; brother, Jon K. BROOKS, Naomi Elizabeth, 91, of Radford, passed away Saturday, March 11, 1995. She was a life-long member of Christ Lutheran Church in Radford and taught school in Radford and Pulaski County for many years. She is survived by a sister, Noblin B. Martin; a brother-in-law, John E. Martin Sr. She is also survived by a niece, Betty M. Henry and her husband, Dolphus E. Henry; a nephew, John E. Martin Jr. and his wife, Georgia A. Martin. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral will be held at DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 13, 1995 at 3 p.m., with the Rev. John McCandlish officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery. OVERSTREET, Frances W., 70, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, March 9, 1995, at her residence. She was born June 3, 1924 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late William Henry Wright and Bertha Rider Wright. She was a member of the Bedford Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Odell Overstreet. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Susan Overstreet, Bedford; a sister, Virginia Moore, Lynchburg; a brother, Willie Rucker Wright, Bedford; two grandsons, Stuart Overstreet and Will overstreet, both of Bedford. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, March 13, 1995 at 12 noon from the Virginia Memorial Park by the Rev. Kenneth Burger and the Rev. N. C. Napier.
