CULT OF IRRESPONSIBILITY

It must be tough being a Black child today. Society thinks black children are underachievers, violent gang members, spoiled brats who have no goals, apathetic, sex crazed, lacking in morals and respect, uneducated, and a generation which is more interested in buying $100 tennis shoes than they are interested in getting a good education or preparing for adulthood.

Black society's view of its children often reinforces society's view. Many of us think black children are not as good as past generations. Many feel black children don't appreciate what past generations have done for them. I have to admit that there are times when I think this myself, especially when I see so many black kids basically throw their lives away. So I am asking one simple question to the black youth of this country. What is going on?
