2 MEN ROB BOTETOURT STORE SUNDAY NIGHT

A Botetourt County convenience store was robbed Sunday night by two men who fled with cash.

The Sheriff's Office declined to release the amount of money taken.

Sheriff Reed Kelly said the men walked into Scott's Thrift Store shortly after 9 p.m. and told a clerk they had a gun.

Kelly said one of the men covered part of his face with clothing.

A witness saw a car leaving the vicinity of the store shortly after the robbery, but police have not determined if the robbers left in that car.

The store is in a remote area about two miles north of Troutville on U.S. 11, Kelly said.
