DOWNTOWN PARADE SATURDAY HONORS ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Roanoke's 7th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m., beginning at Billy's Ritz on Market Street.

Marching units, including a bagpipe band, costume contest and a redhead contest with infant, children and adult categories will be eligible for awards. Judge Bev Fitzpatrick will be the grand marshall.

The parade route will wind through downtown Roanoke, down Campbell Avenue, through the market area and end at Billy's Ritz.

Entry forms are available but not required. The public is invited to participate. For more information, call 981-2889.
