CHRISTIANSBURG - Rural Economic and Community Development, formerly the Farmers Home Administration, is conducting a citizen survey to obtain feedback from borrowers, applicants, realtors and contractors to improve its operations.
Surveys are available at any local Rural Economic and Community Development office.
The survey completion deadline is March 31.
Calling all props
BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech's Theatre Arts Department is sending out a casting call - not for people but for props.
The department plans to stage "Bells Are Ringing," a stylish 1950s musical, and the producers are looking for authentic props from that era. Vintage motorcycles, such as a Norton, BSA or Triumph, an older-model dentist chair and movie posters are especially needed.

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Montgomery County Republican Party will hold a "Meet Your Republican Candidates" potluck dinner Saturday, 6 p.m., at the VFW Building, 490 High St.
In addition to candidates seeking Republican nominations in May, special guests include Del. Morgan Griffith, R-Salem, Montgomery County Sheriff Ken Phipps, Treasurer Ellis Meredith and Clerk of Courts Allan Burke.

Little League sign-ups
FAIRLAWN - The Riverlawn Recreation Department will hold sign-ups for the 1995 Little League Baseball season Friday, 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., in the footwear department of Kmart, Radford Shopping Plaza.
Players ages 6-15 may sign up for T-ball and Little League teams.
