NO GREEN FOOD!

As proposed press materials for St. Patrick's Day began to arrive at the office a few months ago, our very Irish co-worker, Kathleen Wilson, lamented their "green foods" contents. Indeed, the packages suggested that a few drops of green food coloring could convert anything from soft drinks to salmon patties into suitable St. Pat's fare.

"Just once, I'd like to see something written about real Irish food," Kathy said, then proceeded to pull together today's collection of recollections, traditions and not a drop of faux green.

"Thanks, Kathy. As the saying goes, "Bless your little Irish heart and every other Irish part."
