ROANOKE PUBLIC SCHOOLS has announced the names of the first 10 participants in its Future Teachers Program. The participants, who are enrolled in the teacher preparation program at Roanoke College, are employees of the school system and must commit to teach a year for each year of assistance.

LACEY ELIZABETH EIBERT, daughter of Eulanda and Carlton D. Eibert of Roanoke, was recently published in Pensworth, a journal of student writing sponsored by Cumberland College's Delta Upsilon chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honor Society.
