THOMAS RUNNING AGAIN

Del. Victor Thomas, D-Roanoke, said Thursday he'll seek another term in the House of Delegates.

His announcement came as no surprise. Thomas, who has represented part of Roanoke and part of Roanoke County since 1973, has rarely drawn opposition. So far, no Republican has come forward to challenge him this year.

Thomas, who runs a grocery store on Orange Avenue, is best known for his interest in outdoor and hunting issues.

He has long been a champion of more funding for Virginia parks and is a staunch defender of gun rights.
