ROBINSON WINS AAA GIRLS' TITLE

Kate Von Holle scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Saturday as Fairfax Robinson downed Vienna James Madison 44-39 for the Virginia High School League Group AAA state championship.

Von Holle was 7-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-4 from the line. Stephanie Schwandt added 10 points for the Rams.

Katie Smrcka-Duffy led James Madison with 19 points and 13 rebounds. The Warhawks were 3-for-23 from 3-point range, while the Rams missed both their long-range shots.
