WASHINGTON - The Commodity Futures Trading Commission was asked by a Republican senator Monday to provide records of all transactions by Hillary Rodham Clinton from 1978-80.
Sen. Lauch Faircloth, R-N.C., in a letter to commission Chairman Mary Schapiro, said he understands the records are available and that the agency is able to obtain them.
Clinton made a $100,000 profit on a $1,000 investment in the cattle futures market and began her trading with insufficient funds in her brokerage account. She turned a $5,300 profit in her first day of trading.
Experts have suggested she could not have made such a profit under commodity trading rules in one day on a $1,000 stake.

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Soon-to-be graduate student Michael Kearney hasn't chosen a major yet - but give him time, he's only 11.
Michael will begin tackling graduate studies at the University of West Florida in Pensacola this summer.
``We don't push him,'' said his mother, Cassidy Kearney. ``He pushes us."
The youngster from Mobile, Ala., is the world's youngest known high school and college graduate, according to The Guinness Book of Records. He earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of South Alabama last year when he was 101/2.
