More than half of the free tickets for an open house and tours of the hotel and conference center scheduled for April 1 and 2 were gone by Wednesday evening, according to a spokeswoman for the Roanoke Civic Center box office. The Civic Center is distributing the free tickets.
About 1,500 of 4,000 tickets still were available, though, the spokeswoman said. There is a limit of six per person.
The 30-minute tours will begin at the parking garage at Tazewell Avenue and Williamson Road. Tickets will specify the time the bus will leave the garage.
Three tours will be available for people needing assistance.
