ROANOKE TO GIVE LEAF, WOOD MULCH

Residents of Roanoke and Roanoke County can go a-mulching for free Saturday.

Leaf and wood mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roanoke Public Works Service Center, 1802 Courtland Road N.E., behind Berglund Chevrolet on Williamson Road.

The mulch will be loaded into vehicles free of charge. Covers are required for open trucks.
