APPALACHIAN WOMEN TO TALK OF HARDSHIPS

Members of the Appalachia Women's Alliance will speak about the hardships women in Appalachia face at Virginia Tech Tuesday. Speakers will include Barbara Greene, a community organizer from Nicklesville; Carol Honeycutt, from Dungannon; and Meredith Dean, regional coordinator for the conference from Christiansburg.

The alliance is a coalition of women from seven states who have organized to advance women's causes there. For more information, call 381-5033.

Ohio gospel choir at New River college

DUBLIN - New River Community College will welcome the Buchtel (Ohio) High School Gospel Choir, Friday, March 31 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 with student ID.
