Tourism loan training

CHRISTIANSBURG - Southwest Development Financing will hold a training session for applicants to its Tourism Revolving Loan Fund, Thursday, March 30, 9-11 a.m., in the community room of Christiansburg Public Library.

SDF assists in financing tourism-related businesses in the Ninth Congressional District. The lending program is available to local governments, non-profit organizations, corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships.

The workshop outlines the application process and eligibility requirements. Bankers may learn how to help secure financing through the program.

Membership drive

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Christiansburg Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is holding a membership campaign today through Thursday.

During the campaign the chamber will offer a 10 percent discount on first-year memberships. Radio stations WJJJ (1260 AM) and WVVV (104.9 FM) will donate free advertising to each new member signing up in the three-day period in an amount equal to the business's membership fee.
