FOR THE RECORD

Because of a copy editor's error, a headline Tuesday incorrectly characterized three matters in public hearings before the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors. Two were rezonings and one was a special-use permit for a sawmill relocation.

Because of a reporter's error, it was incorrectly reported Tuesday that Eric "Nike" Jones, 20, had posted bond after being arrested on federal drug and firearms charges. Jones remains in jail.

Because of incorrect information given to this paper, the fees for the YWCA day camps listed in Tuesday's Summer Camp Corrections were not accurate. The fees are $60 a week for the first child per family; $55 a week, second child; and $50 a week, third child.

Because of an editorial assistant's error, the City of Salem's tennis camp was omitted from Monday's camp listings. The camp will be held July 17-21, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., for ages 7-15, at the Salem Civic Center tennis courts. The camp includes instruction in basic strokes and footwork, fun games and drills. Campers should bring racquets. The fee is $85. Registration deadline is June 15. For more information and registration forms, call 375-3057.

Clarification

Contrary to statements at a Roanoke City Council meeting Monday, customers of a Main Street hair salon have not been spit on or propositioned, one of the store's owners said.

A resident of the Wasena neighborhood cited the harassment and the salon's impending move as one example of how drug sales from three houses are affecting residents and businesses

Kirk Gibson, whose wife, Judy, operates Unique Styling, said the salon is moving to Memorial Avenue on May 1 for reasons unrelated to crime in the neighborhood.
