TRIBUTE TO BOND

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra is celebrating eight years of Victoria Bond's artistic leadership at her final performance with the orchestra on April 24, 8 p.m., at the Roanoke Civic Center Auditorium.

Roanoke Sister Cities is joining in the festivities with special dignitaries from sister city Pskov, Russia. As a tribute to Pskov, the symphony will play "Alexander Nevsky," Opus 78, by Prokofiev, featuring mezzo soprano Carolyn Sebron and the Roanoke Valley Choral Society.
