INTERFAITH GROUP STUDIES DIVERSITY

Anytown, a human relations training program for teens, will be the focus of the fourth annual Roanoke Valley Interfaith Breakfast on April 7.

The Friday morning event will be from 7 to 9 at Vinton Baptist Church.

Richard Valenzuela, executive director of Anytown, with headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz., will speak on ``The Future for Teen-agers in a Multicultural Society.''

The breakfast is jointly sponsored by the interfaith Roanoke Valley Ministers Conference and the National Conference (of Christians and Jews). The $10 cost covers the buffet meal and a donation to Anytown to assist with camp scholarships and costs.

Discussions around the table will be held after the talk.

The Roanoke Valley chapter will be host of an Anytown summer conference July 2-8 at Camp Bethel. Participants will attend workshops to introduce them to religions, races and cultures different from their own. The goal is to reduce friction among social groups and promote appreciation of many customs.
