JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY recently announced the names of Roanoke Valley students who graduated in December. They are: Michele L. Kielty, Ralph A. Nichols, Sandra H. Pafford, Robert B. Scharpf and Glenn F. Verity, all of Roanoke; and Nace Y. Lanier of Salem.

JOHN PETER AYLING, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ayling of Roanoke, has been named to the dean's list of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C.

MELANIE HAIN of Roanoke has been named to the honor roll at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C.
