HAPPY HOKIES CROWD-SURFING IN THE STREETS

Crowds of gleeful Virginia Tech students line either side of Main Street several rows deep Wednesday night, as if they were waiting for a parade - a parade of triumphant Hokie basketball players, that is.

After Tech's one-point, overtime victory against Marquette in the National Invitation Tournament, the hordes of students cheered and chanted "Let's Go Hokies!" and "Shawn Smith, Shawn Smith!" as cars drove by, raucously honking their horns.
