ALLEN SIGNS WARM HEARTH BACKUP PLAN

Del. Jim Shuler's bill to aid Warm Hearth Village in its quest for a new nursing home is still alive.

Over the weekend, Gov. George Allen signed a Republican-sponsored bill that will allow Blacksburg's Warm Hearth Village retirement community and a Scott County facility to apply for permission to build space for new nursing home beds.
