Anna Bain, 27, is a graduate student in architecture at Virginia Tech. A newlywed, Anna and her husband, Jimmy, live in Salem. Many thanks, Anna, for all your help at the shooting sites.

Julie Bishop, 59, is a volunteer at the YMCA at Virginia Tech and the International Community Women's Organization in Blacksburg. She loves cultural activities, reading and traveling, and recently became a first-time grandmother.

Dan Donato, 41, enjoys woodworking, piano, skiing and hiking. He is married to:

Deanne Donato, 30, a utilization review case management coordinator for Carilion Health Plans. She and Dan live in Roanoke with Baci the dalmatian, Cody the labrador and Mitzvah the cat.

Lauren Malone, 6, is a first-grader at Highland Park Magnet school. She likes gymnastics, skating, ballet and jewelry.

Robin Richardson, 27, is an eighth-grade teacher's assistant at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, where she is also the track team coach. She works at the Sanctuary Crisis and Intervention Center as a relief counselor.

Carrie Shorter, 22, is employed by Hertz Rental Cars at the Roanoke Regional Airport. She enjoys volleyball, baseball and karaoke singing. She has a beagle, Snoopy.

Laura Stewart, 27, is a banker at Central Fidelity. She and her husband, Mike, are moving soon to her hometown, Richmond. She enjoys horseback riding, golf and tennis and her two dogs, Daniel and Reba.

Lesley Taylor Swartz, 29, is owner of Tapestry & Topiaries. A Roanoke native, Lesley graduated from Roanoke College, and now lives in Lynchburg with her husband, John, and their cats Samson and Zuzu.

Sang Hee Uhm, 30, teaches the harp at Roanoke College and is a member of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra.

Laura Wasko, 37, lives in Roanoke. She enjoys biking, skiing (``just being outside''), hearing live music and exotic travel.
