WILDFLOWER PILGRIMAGE BEGINS APRIL 27

The Science Museum of Western Virginia's annual Wildflower Pilgrimage will begin April 27 at 7 p.m. with ``High Elevation Communities,'' a program presented by Professor Phil Shelton of Clinch Valley College. The event will be held in Virginia Western Community College's Whitman Auditorium in Roanoke.

Wildflower walks will be led by guides and take place in a variety of terrains. Two bird walks and tours of local gardens containing both wildflowers and domesticated plants are also scheduled.

The hikes will take place April 28-29. Advance registration is suggested but will also be available on the day of the hikes. For schedules and more information, call 342-5727.
