CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A former employee opened fire Monday in a refinery inspection company, killing the owner, the owner's wife and three workers before fatally shooting himself, police said.
The shooting took place inside Walter Rossler Co., where authorities believe the gunman used to work.
"When we arrived, we learned preliminary that a disgruntled employee walked in and started shooting. . . . We're still trying to piece together the why of what happened," said Assistant Police Chief Ken Bung.

Gunman's psychosis called fake
WASHINGTON - A man on trial for trying to kill President Clinton is faking mental illness to escape punishment, a federal prosecutor told a jury Monday.
"The man's faking. He knows this is his only way out," Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Dubelier said during impassioned closing arguments before jurors began deliberating in the trial of Francisco Martin Duran of Colorado Springs, Colo, "You don't have paranoid schizophrenia one day and it's gone the next day."

Husband of four sent to jail
PHOENIX - A man who married four women in three states - and had to make notes to himself to keep his stories straight - was sentenced to five months in jail Monday for bigamy.
Vernon Pierce, 33, got caught after two of his wives found out about each other and went to police.
