HHS OFFICIAL TO SPEAK ON URBAN ISSUES

Walter Broadnax, deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will speak on "Strategies for Economic Revitalization and Urban Renewal," at Virginia Tech Thursday, April 6.

His talk will focus on issues, leadership and planning that affect cities.

He will speak from 7 until 8:30 p.m. in Squires Student Center's room 152-154. The talk will be free and open to the public.

Broadnax, who acts as chief executive officer for the nation's largest federal department, was appointed by President Clinton to the Welfare Reform Working Group.
