BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Rescue Squad holds a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) marathon from 3. p.m., Friday, April 2, through 3 p.m., Sunday, April 9, on the lawn of Henderson Hall, off College Avenue.
=R The squad members and participating volunteers will do CPR for 48 hours non-stop to raise money for the squad through donations. CPR volunteers, organizations willing to sponsor participating groups and businesses willing to donate time, people, money or door prizes are welcome.

75th anniversary
BLACKSBURG - Two members of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, Carol Stone and Nadine Newcomb, are guests Friday, April 7, on public television's "Blue Ridge Nightline."
Paul Lancaster is the host of the program, airing at 9 p.m. on WBRA (channel 15 or Blacksburg Cable channel 12).
The League celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
