2 MORE COUNTIES BAN OPEN FIRES

Roanoke and Floyd counties have joined the list of localities that have banned open burning due to recent dry weather.

Fire Marshal Don Gillispie anounced the Roanoke County ban Monday. The Floyd County Board of Supervisors made its ban effective today at 12:01 a.m.

Franklin, Henry and Bedford counties also have banned open burning.
