JENNIFER E. FLORYAN and MARY BETH VENTURA, both of Roanoke, have been named to the Founder's Day list at Indiana University in Bloomington.

RADFORD UNIVERSITY has announced that the following students have been named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities: Llewellyn R. Pippert, Roanoke, nursing; Lexi Michele Hanes, Roanoke, communications; Suzanne Wright MacLeod, Daleville, nursing; and Donna R. Platter, Cloverdale, nursing.

MEREDITH G. KENDALL of Roanoke recently was inducted into the Alpha Mu Gamma national honorary society for foreign languages. Kendall is a senior Russian major at Ferrum College.

MICHAEL HAVEN of Roanoke was recently featured in an honors music recital held on the Radford University campus. Havens, a guitarist, performed ``Recuerdos de la Albambra'' and a selection for the guitar by Lennox Berkeley. Havens is a sophomore music-business major.

EMILY BENNETT of Roanoke recently attended the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. Bennett, a junior at Patrick Henry High School, was among 350 National Scholars attending the conference from 46 states.

Throughout the six-day conference, participants interacted with key leaders and newsmakers in government, the media and the diplomatic corps.

The conference is sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization.

BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE has named the following area students to its dean's list: Michelle Rena Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Brown of Roanoke; Dale LeRoy Foster Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Foster of Salem; Kelly Rebecca Honeycutt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Honeycutt of Blue Ridge; and Christy Leigh Osborne and Jeffrey Allen Osborne, son and daughter of Gary and Carol Osborne of Daleville.

RADFORD UNIVERSITY had three Roanoke-area students participating on the interior design team that won Best in Show and People's Choice award at the annual March of Dimes Gourmet Gala benefit in Roanoke: Ede O'Dell, daughter of Charles O'Dell of Roanoke and Gail Albert of Salem; Cindy Grayson, daughter of Phyllis Grayson of Roanoke; and Shawna Rader, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rader of Troutville.

VIRGINIA TECH recently awarded master's degrees to several Roanoke-area students. Those from Roanoke are: Steven C. McCulloch, adult education; Theresa Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Howard, education administration; Heidi G. Baird, daughter of Dr. Bruce D. Baird, education; Clifford Gregory Robertson, son of Jennie Robertson and the late Cliff Robertson, education; Ann M. Burnley, adult education; Rose Marie Dudley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. Dudley, adult education; Debra Cartwright Meade, daughter of Louise and Stephen Cartwright; Jill M. THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA had several students working in impoverished areas doing volunteer housing construction, relief work and tutoring during Alternative Spring Break. Those from the Roanoke Valley were: Steve Harmon and Almon English, both of Roanoke, and Jeff Johnson of Salem.
