PACE BANK TO BUY BRANCH FROM CRESTAR

Pace American Bank of Lawrenceville, a unit of First Citizens BankShares, said it has agreed to buy the Clifton Forge branch now operated by Crestar Bank. The transaction, including $25 million in deposits and $646,000 in loans, is subject to regulatory approval. It is expected to be completed in this year's third quarter.
