FOR THE RECORD

A headline in Thursday's paper should have said a student who brought a gun to Blacksburg High School was expelled, not suspended. A reporter and an editor failed to make clear the difference between suspension and expulsion in the story. Also, the story incorrectly reported the length of the expulsion. The student will not be allowed to apply for readmission to Montgomery County schools until March.

Because of a reporter's error, the Rev. Jeffrey Clemens' name was misspelled in the Religion Briefs column Saturday and in an item in Thursday's Neighbors section. Clemens will speak at a nondenominational Easter sunrise service at the Peaks of Otter.

Because insufficient information was given to the newspaper, radio station PAR FM 91.3 was omitted in Chris Henson's ``Off the Clock'' column Thursday. The station is a co-sponsor of tonight's Mark Lowery concert at the Roanoke Civic Center.
