ALDERSON, Robert Allen, 55, of Salem, passed away Sunday, April 9, 1995. He was formally employed by Peoples Electronics Supply, Inc. and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He served as Master Sgt. in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Blanche Alderson; brother, Billy; and sister, Margaret. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Lawrence Alderson; son, William Albert Alderson, Salem; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Jean and Dariush Oveisi, Iran, Carole Anne and Donald Williamson, Blue Ridge, and Barbara Lynne and James Mullins, Buchanan; sister, Lucille Fowler, Little Rock, Ark.; a special nephew, Donald Hollifield, Detroit, Mich.; aunts, Flora Johnson and Florence Nave, both of Bristol; six grandchildren, Julia, Tracie, Christopher, Mark, Daniel and Taylor. DAVIDSON, Sergai Allen Cline, (Mary Davidson), 72, of Wytheville, died Saturday, April 8, 1995, at her residence. She was the widow of Mitch Cline. She is survived by three sons, David M. (""Mickey"") Cline, Cary, N.C., Allen Cline, Dublin, Ben Cline, Eggelston; one brother, Nathaniel Davidson, Beckley, W. Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be privately held at a later date. There will be no Visitation. FISHER, Sallie Amos, 97, a longtime resident of Rocky Mount, passed away Monday, April 10, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Fisher. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher for many years. GOAD, Lewis M., 70, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, April 9, 1995, in the V.A. Medical Center. He was a member of the Roanoke City Police Auxiliary and was a former P.O.W. of World War II. Mr. Goad was a member of the V.F.W. and retired from Rent Alls of Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earlie R. and Kayoulah Marshall Goad and three grandchildren. GROSECLOSE, Thelma R., 91, of Marion, died Monday, April 10, 1995. The widow of Roy E. Groseclose of Marion, she was born in Milton, Tenn. and was the daughter of Charlie and Sally Robinson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret ``Peggy'' and William E. Skelton of Blacksburg; a granddaughter, Jean W. Skelton, Richmond, Va.; a grandson, John K. Skelton and his wife, Bonnie Skelton of Blacksburg; a special companion, Liz Ling; and a number of nephews and nieces. A longtime active member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, active in community activities, charter member of the Smyth County Home Demonstration Clubs and President of her local club and a volunteer 4-H leader. Funeral services will be conducted at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Mario n on Wednesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tim Graham and the Rev. Don McKinney officiating. HARRIS, Eric A., (""Tony""), 35, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, April 8, 1995. He was a former employee of the Street Maintenance Department for the City of Roanoke. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Harris; daughter, Pamela Harris; father and stepmother, Bernard and Obelia Harris; stepbrother, Anthony Mitchell, all of Roanoke; grandmother, Annie Mae Turner, of Radford; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. HARTSEL, Mary Elizabeth Haymaker, 82, of Vinton, passed away Sunday, April 9, 1995, in a Roanoke hospital. She was born December 10, 1912 in Botetourt County. She was the daughter of Robert H. and Mary Laura Haymaker. Mrs. Hartsel was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Frank C. Hartsel and one infant daughter, Vera Huston Hartsel. She retired from Maid Bess Corporation in 1974. She was a member of the Vinton Church of the Brethren. Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert S. and Martha Hartsel, Hardy, Norman E. and Margaret Hartsel, Hopewell, J. Clifton and Barbara Hartsel, Roanoke, F. LaPRADE, Elizabeth Keeton, (``Libbie""), 68, of Lexington, died Sunday, April 9, 1995, of lymphoma. She was a native of Richmond, Va. and a long time resident of Tenafly, N.J. She was also a graduate of Lynchburg College in Virginia. She was an elementary public school teacher in Richmond; taught at the Elizabeth Morrow School in Englewood, N.J.; and did volunteer work at the First Presbyterian Church, Englewood, for many years, where she served on the Session and the Board of Trustees. She is survived by her husband, J. Wallace LaPrade, former Director of the New York Office of the FBI; two daughters, Anne Anders and Liz Anderson, both of Durham, N.C.; two sons, J. Nicholas, Palo Alto, Calif. and Douglas S., Milano, Italy; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Englewood, N.J., at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 1995, followed by interment in the Church's Memorial Garden with Rev. James R. Steele officiating. A second memorial service will be held at the Lexington Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 1995, with Dr. Richard M. Webster officiating.
