SOMETHING FISHY
One of the few fats receiving kind words these days is Omega-3, the fatty
acid found primarily in fish oil that is gaining a reputation for a number of
potential health benefits. Its richest sources tend to be fish with overall
higher fat contents, including mackerel, tuna, lake trout, herring, salmon,
whitefish, anchovy, bluefish and mullet. Oven "frying" these, or any kind of
favorite fish, in just a smidgen of oil is an easy, healthful and delicious
way to minimize the "bad" fats while getting your Omega-3.
