MOLESTER GETS ANOTHER 6 YEARS

A Botetourt County judge tacked six more years onto the prison sentence of a man given three life terms plus 20 years in Roanoke last month after raping his daughter at least 100 times.

Judge George Honts III imposed sentence on the man after hearing his tearful confession about life as a child molester.

The man is not being named to protect the identity of his daughter. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1987 after being convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual battery for molesting the girl. He served four, and Honts ordered him Thursday to serve the balance of the sentence.

"I really wanted the death penalty," the man said. "It hurts like hell to keep fighting it."

He said his desire to molest small children never goes away, even though he has been through a program to treat sexual deviants.
