BLACKSBURG - The Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce Retail Merchants Committee is accepting nominations for its Eugene Jones Small-Business Service Award and Small-Business Person of the Year Award.

The awards will be presented at the chamber's May 9 luncheon in honor of Small-Business Month.

Pulaski station wins award

PULASKI - The National Association of Broadcasters recently recognized Eagle Country 107 WPSK (107.1 FM) as one of 10 national winners in its 1995 Crystal Radio Awards competition.

The award salutes the community service efforts of radio stations. The Pulaski station has donated time and collected listeners' donations for the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, the local Kiwanis Club as well as for individuals experiencing devastating or catastrophic problems.

Dave Roederer, New River Media vice president and general manager, accepted the award at the association's annual spring convention in Las Vegas on April 11.

Radford chamber seeks nominations

RADFORD - The Radford Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for its 1995 Business Person of the Year Award.

Nominees should have displayed exceptional business or professional accomplishments, leadership in the business or professional community and civic responsibility.

The nomination deadline is May 2.
