VDOT TO SELL EQUIPMENT AT AUCTION

Need some paving equipment? A snow plow? Maybe a dump truck?

The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a used-equipment auction Wednesday in Salem.

More than 200 items - including a paint marking truck, pickups and office equipment - will be sold.

Items may be inspected Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at VDOT's office on Harrison Avenue in Salem. A complete list of items to be auctioned will be available Tuesday at the district office.

Payment terms are: 20 percent down on the day of the sale by cash, certified check or cashier's check; balance due in 15 days. Make checks payable to the treasurer of Virginia.
