CONCERT TO MARK WEEK OF YOUNG CHILD

The New River Valley Association for the Education of Young Children will mark the Week of the Young Child Thursday, April 27, with a concert in Virginia Tech's Cassell Coliseum.

Hundreds of young children are expected to attend the 10 a.m. show, which will feature African performers. The event also will recognize Worthy Wage Day, a day to draw attention to the low pay child-care professionals receive.
