ADAMY, Laura Hogan, of Roanoke, died Saturday, April 22, 1995. She graduated from the College of St. Rose and Mary Washington College, and then went on the Master Degree Program at Hollins College. Mrs. Adamy was a retired school teacher with the Roanoke County School System. She is survived by her husband, Robert O. Adamy; two sons, Steven Adamy of Hamilton Square, N.J., and Richard Adamy of Springfield; two grandchildren, Hannah Adamy and Katherine Adamy; three brothers, William Hogan of New York, Thomas Hogan of Massachusetts, and Richard Hogan of Washington. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 1995, at Oakey's South Chapel, with Mr. Chip Sprouse, of Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia, Pa. and Mr. Sam Adamy officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Charlottesville, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.

BUTCHER, Kyle Loyde, 69, of Galax, died Sunday, April 23, 1995. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel.

CAMPBELL, Lewis E., 65, of Buchanan, died Saturday, April 22, 1995. He lived in Botetourt County in different areas for most of his life. He is retired from Tarmac and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by wife, Dora Vess Campbell; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Leah Campbell, Kevin Campbell, Lacy and Sue Vess, Sidney and Sue Vess; daughters and sons-in-law, Shyrl and Daniel Robtison, Darla and Bobby White, Gloria and Russell Letchford; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ellis Campbell, Ruth Cadd, Herbert Campbell, Gary Campbell, Evelyn Bland, Alan Campbell, Elizabeth Cook. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. COLEMAN, Evelyn King, 61, of Buena Vista, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 1995, at Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility, Lexington. Born in Rockbridge Co., August 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Clarence King and Beulah Mae Ramsey King. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walker Coleman and two sisters, Lula Belle Potter and Delores Swecker. She is survived by one son, Donnie Walker Coleman Sr., Buena Vista; two daughters, Shelia C. Campbell, Buena Vista, Donna Kirchhofer, Rineyville, Ky.; one brother, O. C. King , Columbus, Ga.; three sisters, Loleta Braford, Natural Bridge, Nelle Braford, Glasgow, Betty Purvis, Ft. Myers, Fla.; half brother, Layne King, Raphine; four grandchildren, Donnie Coleman Jr., Greg Campbell Jr., Jamie Campbell and Melissa Kirchhofer; three devoted friends, John R. Higgins, Lexington, Betty D. Jarvis and Naomi Noel, both of Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted from the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, April 25, 1995, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Art Brumit and the Rev. Terry L. Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Blue Ridge Baptist Church or Stone Church of the Brethren, Buena Vista. DIXON, William B., (""Dutch""), 73, of Atkins, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, in Francis Marion Manner. He is survived by his wife, Marie Armstrong Dixon of Atkins; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Vickie Dixon of Atkins; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Claude and Aleane Hash of Marion; two sisters, Ruby Cassell and Rachael Romans both of Atkins; one brother, June Dixon of Vinton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 1995 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Donald Medley. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

EASTMAN, Nancy Denit, 87, of Salem, widow of the late John W. Eastman, died Sunday, April 23, 1995. She was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Maude Smoot Denit of Salem. She is survived by one sister, Annie Denit Darst (Mrs. Lewis W.), of Salem; five nieces, Harriett Darst, Salem, Mary Louise Trussell Scarborough, Mebane, N. C., Jane N. Almond, Gainesville, Fla., Tina N. Fletcher, St. Simon's Island, Ga., Ricki Fielder, Mineral, Va., Patricia Smith, Mechanicsville, Va., and Cora Burns of Iowa. Mrs. Eastman was educated in Salem, a graduate of Salem High School - 1926, a graduate of Longwood College - 1929, and studi ed at Juliard in New York. She taught public school music in Roanoke City from 1930 - 1968 (Jackson Elementary). She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church, Salem. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists. Services for Mrs. Eastman will be held in the chapel of First United Methodist Church, Salem, Va., at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 1995, with interment at East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening, April 24, 1995, from 7 to 9 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Organ Fund at First United Methodist Church, Salem, Va , the American Red Cross or a charity of your choice.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Schairl Hofmann, Heinrich Hofmann, Peter and Beverly Hofmann, Siegfried and Pam Hofmann, Egon Hofmann; grandchildren, Steve Goff, Brandon Hofmann, James Hofmann, Jeff Hofmann, Amanda Hofmann, Travis Hofmann; sister, Kathi Tscheri; other relatives in Austria. MUSSER, Cecil M., Ret. U.S. Army MSG, 66, of Roanoke County, died suddenly Saturday, April 22, 1995. He was retired from the U.S. Army after serving 32 years for his country. He was a member of the AMVETS Post #40 and the American Legion. Surviving are his wife Polly Amos Musser; daughter and son-in-law, Kaye M. and Randall M. Garland; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil M. (Sonny) and Teresa E. Musser, all of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Tara Garland and Justin Musser; three sisters, Peggy Woods, Shirley Harman and Judy Martin, all of Roanoke; two brothers, Edsel Musser and Dean Musser, both of Roanoke; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment with military honors will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. O'DELL, Fred Hoover Sr., 66, of Hiwassee, passed away Sunday, April 23, 1995. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

PANKEY, Louise Frances, 85, of Richmond, died April 22, 1995. She was born October 3, 1909 in Arvonia, Va., the daughter of the late William Alvis and Mary Miller Pankey. She was a retired employee of the Internal Revenue Service and of Thalhimer's Department Store. She is survived by sisters Annie Miller Pankey, Mrs. William R. Bland, Arvonia; brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. William F. McCorkle, Lexington; brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Maury Pankey, Roanoke; four nephews; two nieces; four great-nephews; four great-nieces; three great-great-nieces. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Arvonia Memorial Cemetery, Arvonia. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society (sepcific purpose-leukemia) or a favorite charity.

ROBERTS, Haywood Edwin, 71, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, April 23, 1995, in a local hospital after a brief illness. Surviving are a sister, Sylvia Roberts Arthur; two brothers, T. E. ``Jack"" Roberts, W. J. ``Bill"" Roberts, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday from the graveside at Evergreen Burial Park, with the Rev. George E. STUMP, Martha Harvey, 81, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, April 23, 1995 at her residence. She was retired from Lewis-Gale Hospital and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Alvin L. Stump Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Alvin L. Jr. and Rosalie Sutherland Stump, Salem; a granddaughter, Wendy Stump Hassett, Etters, Penn.; stepgrandson, Dr. Samuel W. Sirlin, Altadena, Calif.; three brothers, Sparrell D. Harvey, John E. Harvey, both of Roanoke, Samuel E. Harvey, Salem; and a sister, Mrs. Betty H. Urquhart, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with Dr. Harry Y. TYREE, Lindsey Washington, 81, of Buena Vista, died Friday, April 21, 1995, in a Lexington hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County November 7, 1913, the son of the late Leonard S. and Ella Clark Tyree. He was retired from the City of Buena Vista and was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Tyree and Philander Tyree, and one sister, Martha Tyree Sorrells. Surviving are his wife, Hallie Clark Tyree; two daughters, Jo Ann T. Hudson and Judy T. Conner, both of Buena Vista; four sons, Alfred W. Tyree, Gretna, Ralph E. Tyree, Clifton Forge, Dewey W. Tyree, David D. Tyree, both of Buena Vista; four sisters, Ann Smith, Locust Hill, Juanita Andrews, Madison Heights, Isabelle Robertson, Swoop, Nellie Cash, Greenville; two brothers, Herman Tyree, Buena Vista, Earley Tyree, Lexington; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be c onducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ballard Shepherd and the Rev. Conald Fogus. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
