Health fair May 17

PULASKI - A health fair with some 20 vendors will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 17 at the Pulaski Health Care Center at 2401 Lee Highway.

There is no charge to attend. Visitors will get a chance to win raffle prizes including a stereo cabinet, cellular phone and lady's Pulsar watch. There will also be more than a dozen door prizes as well as free food.

Material and information will be provided by hospitals in Pulaski and Radford and other agencies including hospice, heart association, cancer society and diabetes association.

Information on long-term care insurance will also be available, and an insurance company representative will be on hand.

School budget session

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Montgomery County School Board will hold a work session on the 1995-1996 school operating budget Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the administrative building on Junkin Street.

The board plans to discuss details of the revised $47.3 million budget, but a vote is not planned on the document until May 2.

Red Cross seeks funds

CHRISTIANSBURG - The Montgomery County Chapter of the American Red Cross is accepting donations to aid bombing victims in Oklahoma City.

Make checks payable to the American Red Cross, with a notation that it is for Oklahoma City bomb relief. Credit card contributions can be made by calling (800) 842-2200.
