RESTAURANTS PLAN NEW LOCATIONS

Two Roanoke Valley restaurant chains - Little Caesars Italian Kitchen and the Subway sandwich shops - have announced plans to open new outlets this fall.

Little Caesars will begin remodeling a 2,450-square-foot space at Lakeside Plaza next week.

Millie Moore of Boone & Co., who negotiated the lease, said the new restaurant will feature pizza, pasta and other Italian specialties in a seated dining room. She said this will be the first of the type for the chain in this area.

The owner is Mike Pietrzyk, who operates about 30 Little Caesars pizza take-out stores in Western Virginia.

Subway will lease a 1,400-square-foot building that is under construction at 1613 Williamson Road. Scott Hilliard, who operates Subway outlets in the New River Valley, is the owner.

The property will be rented from Don and Rebecca Darnell of Roanoke, who are building the structure to the lessee's specifications.
