COMMISSIONER OF REVENUE SEEKS RE-ELECTION

Pulaski County Commissioner of Revenue Maynard Sayers said he would seek the Republican candidacy for re-election this year.

Sayers is in his 20th year as commissioner.

"During that time, I have tried to ensure that this office was modernized and efficient, taking advantage of the latest technology," he said. "I have dedicated myself to being responsible and responsive, yet always remembering that service to the individual citizen was my primary goal."

The office has automated all real estate assessment information, and digitized all real estate parcels for the Geographic Information System.

Sayers is a Pulaski County native. He has lived here all his life except for military service, which included piloting a helicopter in Vietnam. He is a past president of Commissioners of the Revenue Association of Virginia.
