BLACKSBURG - To celebrate the Tour DuPont, The National Bank of Blacksburg will sponsor a giant bike mural coloring event Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the bank's main office at 100 S. Main St.
The mural was created by students in Jesi Pace-Berkeley's art students at Blacksburg High School. They included: Liz Wallace, Nolan Ko, Patricia Fizer, Robert Pearce, Matt Ogburn, Brittany Clemmer, Lauren Foutz and Cory Sullivan. All are in Pace-Berkeley's art heritage classes.
Youngsters are invited Saturday to add their own touches to help complete the mural.

DAV Auxiliary fund-raiser
CHRISTIANSBURG - The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 29 will have an open house fund-raiser Friday, April 28. The open house will feature home interior gifts and Tupperware.
