Christopher C. Calvert, 20, of Prince George County was arrested Monday and charged with murder as a principal in the second degree in connection with the April 9 death of Henry Morse, 17.
``Based on the information we have, he was with the other suspect [while the crime was being committed],'' Hopewell police Lt. M.D. Ellis said.
Murder as a principal in the second degree means being present while a crime takes place without doing anything to stop the crime.
Calvert is being held on a $60,000 secured bond in the Hopewell City Jail and faces a May 22 preliminary hearing.
The other suspect, Lyzondo E. Ferguson, 21, of Prince George, was arrested by the FBI on April 19 at the Staten Island, N.Y., apartment of a relative.
No motive has been reported, but Ellis said both suspects and the victim attended a party before the shooting occurred.
