VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS NAMES PRESIDENT

David Wilkin, chief executive officer of Marshall University's community college program in West Virginia, has been named president of Virginia Highlands Community College.

Wilkin will start July 1.

The announcement was made Friday by Kurt Pomrenke, chairman of the Virginia Highlands board. Wilkin was the board's unanimous choice and will be the fourth president in the college's 26 years.

He succeeds N. DeWitt Moore Jr., who became president in 1984.
