New River Media General Manager Dave Roederer said Roberts' show will be the first live program to originate from the broadcast group's new combined radio facility on U.S. 11 near Fairlawn. Eventually, the new site will house studios and sales offices for Eagle Country 107, WPSK (107.1 FM), WJJJ and Z-Rock 105, WVVV (104.9 FM)
Roberts - who's also a retired teacher - plans to open the phone lines to discuss all sorts of local issues, including politics, schools, taxes, the economy or whatever listeners want to talk about. His show will air weekdays, 9 a.m.-noon.
The Eagle Country 107, WPSK (107.1 FM) "Drive By and Donate" fund-raising drive, to help relief efforts in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing, raised almost $700 Wednesday in three hours. In conjunction with First National Bank, the country music station has established the EAGLE COUNTRY 107-OKLAHOMA CITY RELIEF FUND to assist the Red Cross with medical care and rescue and relief efforts. Contributions are welcome at any First National Bank branch.
