VA. RULING CALLED `ACT OF TERROR'

A gay clergyman drew comparisons Saturday between the Oklahoma City bombing and a Virginia Supreme Court decision, calling a ruling that a lesbian was an unfit parent ``another act of terror.''

While acknowledging that the ideas behind the bombing and the court's ruling in the case of lesbian couple Sharon Bottoms and April Wade are widely separated, the Rev. Mel White contended they are on the same spectrum.

``The ideas are wrong. They need to be attacked,'' White said. ``And the terrorist that takes away a child from Sharon and April is that same kind of idea that says that we need to explode away, do away, purge the nation.''
