FERRUM DRIVER WINS FRANKLIN COUNTY RACE

Bobby Radford of Ferrum picked up his third win of the season Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway.

Radford led from start to finish as he captured the People Gas/Affiliated Electronics 75-lap feature. Pole winner Steve Lynch finished second and Lowe Smith was third. Dudley Lawhorn and Dennis Gardner rounded out the top five.

Mike Dudley won the Street Stock division. Bill Bratton was second and Mike Elkins finished third, followed by Freddie Goff and Leon Dalton.

Gary Joyce finished first in the Mini Stock race. Chris Martin was second and Carlton Clark was third. Rodney Campbell finished fourth and Steve Lam was fifth.

David Duncan was the Rookie winner. Ray Turman was second, followed by Harlan Dalton, Rob Woodward and Chuck Floyd.

Chris Hatchett won the Trucks race and Larry Dunbar was the Any Car winner. Willis Smith of Mauldin, S.C., won the Flat Head race that was sponsored by the North Carolina Race Car Association.
