Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
``I think the Miami Dolphins have a very good chance of not just going to the Super Bowl, but winning the Super Bowl,'' Clark said. ``I'm really looking forward to playing here.''
Clark, who turns 33 today, said he originally wanted to play with Dallas because he wanted to remain in the NFC East Division. But a visit to the Dolphins' training facility in Davie, Fla., changed his mind.
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound receiver, a former Pulaski County High School and James Madison University athlete, built his reputation during the first eight years of his NFL career, when he played for the Washington Redskins. He helped Washington win two Super Bowls and was named to two Pro Bowl squads.
Clark is the only receiver in NFL history to have at least 50 receptions in each of his first nine seasons. In his 10-year career, Clark has caught at least 50 passes each year and has a total of 662 receptions and 63 touchdowns.
He signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals two years ago. In 1994, he had 50 catches for 771 yards and one touchdown.
Clark will join a Miami receiving corps that includes Randal Hill, Irving Fryar, O.J. McDuffie and Scott Miller, plus newly signed tight end Eric Green, a former Liberty University standout.
