RAIN SUSPENDS AVALANCHE; TWINBILL TONIGHT

Rain forced the suspension of Monday's Carolina League baseball game between Salem and Durham at Municipal Field with Durham leading 3-0 in the top of the second inning.

The game will resume at 6 p.m. today and is scheduled for nine innings. It will be followed by a scheduled seven-inning game.

Jeff Sobkoviak will pitch the first game for the Avalanche, and Matt Poole will start the second.
