BOULTON, Margaret T., 70, of Hillsville, passed away Sunday, April 30, 1995, at her home. Surviving are husband, Ronald Boulton; son and daughter-in-law, Nigel Paul and Martha Boulton, Knoxville, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Raymond Richardson, Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Dennis and Kathleen Tenpenny, Hillsville. BRAMMER, Margaret Faith Kirksey, 74, of Roanoke, died Sunday, April 30, 1995. She was born August 13, 1920, in Abilene, Texas. She went to school in Abilene and Lubbock and graduated from Texas University in Austin. She later returned to earn her master's degree in counseling. Mrs. Brammer came to Roanoke in 1968 to work as a counselor at Virginia Western Community College after transferring to Hampton Community College for a brief period. She married Roy Brammer and moved back to Roanoke and was among the first elementary counselors in Roanoke County serving at Clearbrook and at Mount Pleasant until retirement in 1982. Mrs. Brammer is survived by her husband, Roy F. Brammer, Roanoke; stepson and da ughter-in-law, David and Kriselyn Brammer; two grandchildren, Shaundra and Jordan Brammer, all of Mattapoisett, Mass.; sister, Mary Peace Kirksey; brother, Terrance W. Kirksey, both of Austin, Texas; one nephew and one niece. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mark Radecke and the Rev. Robin Henrickson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
CARROLL, Wesley E., 79, of Belspring, died Monday, May 1, 1995, in a Radford hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Nora Dobbins Carroll, two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are his wife, Violet Doss Carroll, Belspring; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Louise Carroll, Texarkana, Ark.; a brother, Ed Carroll, Radford; a sister, Nell C. Duncan, Belspring; three grandchildren, Dean Carroll, Patrick Air Force Base; Shendale Carroll, Dublin, Jessica Carroll, Radford; two stepgrandchildren, Beth Shelton and Steve Hughes; many special nieces and nephews; and close sisters-in-law. HEDRICK, Cottie Walters Buchanan, 91, of Madison Heights, formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday, April 30, 1995, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clifton Hedrick. Born in Augusta County, July 3, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Andrew S. and Evie Liptrap Buchanan. Mrs. Hedrick was a member of Belmont Presbyterian Church in Roanoke. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Lee and June Hedrick, Madison Heights; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke by the Rev. MATHERLY, James Bascom, 66, of Rt. 3, Ridgeway, died Monday, May 1, 1995, at Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, N.C. He was the husband of Dorothy Shorter Matherly, of the home. Born January 7, 1929 in the Penhook section of Franklin County, he was the son of the late Roy Matherly and Kate Hatchett Matherly. He retired from E. I. DuPont Company of Martinsville, after 38 years service. He was a member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge, a U. S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Forrest Hills Christian Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, C. L. (Blue) Matherly and Raymond Matherly. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Shorter Matherly, Ridgeway; son, Mike Matherly, Wilmington, N.C.; two grandchildren, Katherine Matherly and Anne Matherly, both of Wilmingto n, N.C.; three sisters, Estelle Oakes and Rebecca Pagans, both of Penhook, Joan Dyches, Martinsville; and four brothers, Page Matherly, Ronald Matherly, Gerald Matherly, all of Penhook, George Matherly, Martinsville. PERDUE, Ruby Powell, of Penhook, passed away Sunday, April 30, 1995, in the Roanoke United Methodist Home. She was the daughter of the late W. T. F. Powell and Alma Smith Powell and was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Perdue and brother, Revan Powell. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Mrs. Adele P. Thompson and two brothers-in-law, Bill Perdue and Charles Phelps. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well as a number of cousins. Specials cousins, Chapman and Delsie Goggin and Wendell and Elsie Smith have been very supportive of her for a number of years. Mrs. Perdue attended Radford College and taught in Franklin County Pu blic Schools for a few years. Later she served as Postmaster of Penhook for 39 years. She was an active member of Penhook United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the UMW. Funeral services will be conducted from Penhook United Methodist Church, 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. DeRoy Campbell and Rev. Betty Daniels Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. QUESENBERRY, Robert Lee, (``Joe""), 48, of 91 Stafford Drive, Dublin, passed away Monday, May 1, 1995 in the Radford Community Hospital. Born December 23, 1 946 in Pulaski Co., Va., he was the son of the late Hayden Cecil Quesenberry and Ethel Marie Blanchet Quesenberry Scott. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George D. Quesenberry and Duke Quesenberry. He was a veteran of the United Sates Army, having served in the Vietnam Conflict and was in the 80th Division of the Reserves, Dublin, Va. He was an employee of the Ingersoll Rand Company, Roanoke, Va., as a machinist. Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Elaine Blankenship Quesenberry, Dublin; one daughter, Rochelle Marie Quesenberry, Dublin, Va.; two sons, Marcus Sidney Quesenberry, Fayetteville, N.C., Eric Adam Quesnberry, Dublin, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Marie Thompson, Salem, Va.; three brothers, Ray D. Quesenberry, Roanoke, Va., R. C. STATON, Charles H., 73, of Radford, died Friday, April 28, 1995, in the Salem Nursing Facility. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy as a third class Petty Officer. He worked for Lynchburg Foundry of Radford and RADVA Plastic and was self employed as a Pattern Maker, he was a former football player and advid supporter of the Radford High School, ""Bobcats"". He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Seldon S. and Peggy Staton, Trent A. and Mary Jo Staton, both of Vinton; and a sister and brother-in-law, Ollie Taveta and Jerome Moede, Naples, Fla.; 10 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at Seavers Sanders and Mullins Chapel in Radford with interment in Sunrise Burial Park. The Reverend's Phillip T. Staton and Jay D.
